Spider and thread veins are a common cosmetic problem on the legs and face. These can be easily treated with microsclerotherapy: a non-invasive, tiny injection that eliminates the appearance of the vein. Alternatively, Veinwave treatment can be used; this is a form of microdiathermy, which essentially eliminates the vein via the application of heat.
Microsclerotherapy is most commonly used for larger thread veins; Veinwave is most commonly used for smaller thread veins and spider veins on the face. Both of these procedures can be done in the consulting room and are therefore walk in, walk out procedures.
